Two eagles stand on a nest high in the mountains, looking at an eagle flying away, symbolizing separation or growth as the younger one leaves the nest.
Nestling has taken the Flight
Every human has aspired to take this flight with wind beneath its wings, to soar high into the sky. Back in time, attending a program meant for senior management to prove my organisational value, I found out about the flight of the Eagle, where it takes a plunge down the cliff to discover the power of its wings. The now empty nest then denotes the efforts of the parent eagle to provide the food and shelter till the nestling is strong enough to believe in itself before it races to discover the world beyond the line of sight. Nothing is known of the parent eagle and the empty nest.
The last two years have been hectic for my little one, who gave it all for cracking one of the most difficult exams on this earth to pursue a course of academic excellence. While we facilitated him in all respects to succeed, little did we know about the things to come. Two months of different exams across different places and times, and all that we did was ensure that he was in time for the exam in the right spirit and health.
The result was an exhilarating experience and one that we continue to be proud about. Congratulations and wishes from friends, family, and from all quarters kept on flowing. Now the time had come for us as parents to let him fly and soar higher. We traveled to another state far away from home to settle him into his new accommodation for the next four years within the college campus, and we saw in his eyes that he was at home. The pride and happiness were on our face, and yet the heart was a little damp — it was time.
The glory of the achievement made our head held high, but we knew that our nest was empty now, and our Nestling had taken the Flight.
